GENERAL SUMMARY

Responsible for the reporting of accounting operations of a privately held company, periodic financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls over financial reporting to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles and/or international financial reporting standards.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Reporting

  • Maintain Accounting system Chart of Accounts
  • Review general ledger account reconciliations to ensure integrity/accuracy of the Trial Balance
  • Preparation of financial statements on US GAAP and/or IFRS basis with applicable notes for all consolidated entities accurately and timely
  • Establishing routine Accounting Closing Schedule
  • Coordination of Monthly, Quarterly and Annual GL Closings
  • Preparation of other financial reports required by management
  • Coordination of annual and interim external audits and reviews of consolidated entities
  • Provide executive management with Quarterly financial and operational information vital to the decision-making process
  • Review support schedules for quarterly and year-end work papers
  • Provide financial analysis as needed, in particular capital investments, pricing and early warnings for interim bottom line impacts

Internal Controls Environment

  • Assess, design and set up accounting systems to ensure effective and efficient recording of accounting transactions
  • Maintain the system of controls over accounting data
  • Evaluate and recommend changes to internal controls over accounting functions and areas
  • Monitor adherence to established operating procedures and internal controls
  • Provide feedback to executive management on potential control risks identified through accounting functions

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an accounting role
  • Financial reporting experience
  • CPA License (preferred)
  • Experience with a large ERP system
  • Strong Excel skills
