Description

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Manage the business and complete P&L for the site operations through a team of managers and supervisors to achieve targeted business results including financial, safety, quality, delivery, productivity and regulatory compliance at all times.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage P&L and ensure all departments have key metrics in place and the process to achieve financial results is managed on a daily and weekly basis, in collaboration with the site Finance leader
  • Provide leadership for issue resolution to facilitate day to day operations
  • Maintain existing plant facility, production equipment, and systems and develop business plans to justify replacement or improvement when necessary
  • Analyze workforce requirements and make adjustments as necessary at the right frequency to achieve productivity requirements
  • Develop and communicate organizational goals and expectations
  • Ensure Quality personnel are operating the company Quality Management System to drive areas of improvement Review established metrics for all departments to ensure all areas are operating at the highest efficiency possible Maintain and drive the 6s program to meet company standards
  • Coordinate with Finance on monthly forecasts and yearly budgeting
  • Conduct performance appraisals and provide coaching and guidance to direct reports and supervisors Create and sustain a continuous improvement environment
  • Remove constraints; allocate human and equipment resources and direct production employees to all established goals and business targets
  • Ensure full compliance with all state and federal regulations
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • Complete all capital and equipment projects on-time and on-budget
  • Drives cultural change to a high-performing, professional organization
  • Develops a talented, cohesive management team and strong supporting organization; makes adjustments in management team as needed
  • Implements the Organization’s Operating System driving improvements in all KPIs across the site and sharing best practices across the enterprise
  • Improves internal communications and drives higher levels of employee engagement and develops a high performing and self-policing culture
  • Achieve Monthly Sales and EBITDA targets by actively driving business development to win new business by developing strong customer relationships and improving customer satisfaction by driving improvements to quality, on-time delivery, responsiveness and overall customer service

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-Year Degree Required / 4-Year Technical Degree Preferred
  • Knowledge of business financials, special processing applications and deployment of business systems
  • Minimum of 2 years of related work experience in an Operations Management or Supervisor position

REPORTS TO:  Regional VP of Operations

POSITIONS SUPERVISED:  Customer Service, Production, Maintenance, Quality, Finance & Administration
